About the Pickett Society

The Pickett Society is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Our objectives are memorial, historical, and educational. We are non-political and affiliated with no other organization. We do not have endowments and depend upon members’ dues and fund raisers to support our projects.

The Society is dedicated to learning and disseminating facts about the life and times of the notable American, George Edward Pickett. In all things we do, we impose historical accuracy and do not publish or propagate information that cannot be supported by official or other primary sources and urge others to do the same.

We publish a journal, The Virginian, which our members receive quarterly. In addition to two sponsored events or seminars each calendar year, we gather to celebrate the completion of projects or to commemorate notable historical occasions. Tours, seminars and workshops are available to members at discounted prices. If you would like to join us in our endeavors, please print our membership form and return it to us with your membership dues. Your participation would be very much appreciated and, we believe, very rewarding.
